DMLToolkit / Lite®
Filling the "Gap" with integration tools for eMPower Quality©
Features
DMLToolkit® is a dml reporting engine and graphical
user interface. It displays graphical charting allowing users to quickly identify
passing and failing tolerances as well as ones approaching critical process limits.
DMLToolkit® consumer of JobBuilders
"inspection Job" and .dml with extended functionality not present in our DMLToolkit
Lite®
version. DMLToolkit® is also responsible for generating reports via report templates which are configured by
JobBuilder.

> Graphical display of inspection results
DMLToolkit® displays graphical inspection
results. Get the results at a glance. Seconds vs minutes as with reading text based
reports. |
> Supports Grouping of Tolerances
DMLToolkit® supports grouping of tolerances to help
users quickly pick out related tolerances. An example might be setting a group of
tolerances based upon a particular manufacturing process, fixture, or station. Tolerance grouping will allow machinists and operators quickly understand "what" might be
causing the problem in the manufacturing process. Groups of tolerances are
separated by vertical lines on the chart. |
> Hovering the mouse over
the bar highlights detailed information
When the results are displayed, a user can hover the mouse over a particular
tolerance in the bar chart, and the corresponding row in the datagrid below will
be highlighted for a quick drilldown of tolerance information. |
> Values are shown for failed and caution tolerances
To make it easier for the operators actual values for failing and caution
tolerance results are displayed on the bar. |
> Sorting by tolerance attributes
Sorting by tolerance attributes is easy. Just select the header element in the
datagrid and both the datagrid is sorted and the results bars are sorted appropriately.
If grouping is configured for a tolerance attribute then bertical grouping lines
will be displayed.
> Sorting by
custom tolerance attributes
Sorting by custom tolerance attributes such as characteristic
class, or short description is easy. Just select the header element in the datagrid
and both the datagrid is sorted and the results bars are sorted appropriately. If
grouping is configured for a tolerance attribute then vertical grouping lines will
be displayed. The DMLToolkit Full version can handle extended custom attributes
created within JobBuilder.
> Show/Hide tolerances
Sometimes the need arises to hide a tolerance from the graphical results such
as in-process tolerances, or tolerances that reflect statistical studies but are
not directly related to the core inspection. JobBuilder can configure tolerances
to be hidden from DMLToolkits graphical results display.
This functionality is also appropriate for our Derived Tolerances, where only the
final Derived Tolerance results are needed not the parent tolerances used to derive
them.
> Display Derived Tolerances and Attributes
DMLToolkit Full can display Derived Tolerances and their respective attributes
in the graphical results display.
> Launch methods
DMLToolkit will display results by opening a valid .dml file(if enabled
for non-lockdown systems), dragging and dropping a .dml file on the icon,
or through a commandline call for environments which require a filesystem lockdown
image of Windows, or to be called from a third-party inspection application such
as eMMeasure. |
> DML Consumer
DMLToolkit as the name implies is a consumer of the Dimensional Markup Language
or DML. UGS Tecnomatix eMPower Quality products
output .dml. This language is an
XML language recognized as a the purveyor in up and coming specifications for dimensional
results for metrology. Check it out at dmlspec.org
> DMLToolkit Lite the Standalone Application
Drag and drop .dml or call from the commandline, or eM-Measure®
to display the graphical results, view more detailed tolerance information in the
datagrid and generate reports in one standalone application. (Does not require JobBuilder) |
